> Because they worship the King James Bible and put it in the
> place of Christ as 'the FINAL authority'.
That statement is only one of the many cliche type responses we hear from those that do not believe that God preserved his words, all of them, for us: perfect, preserved, infallible, pure. It is not true of course. We do not worship the King James Version (KJV). The KJV is our "FINAL authority" here on earth however and rightly so! This paper will prove without doubt that God did indeed make many promises to preserve his words in one book. today, for the English speaking people, his truly perfect words are found in the King James Version of the Bible, the Authorized Version of 1611. (We do acknowledge that there were a total of 6 editions that corrected typographical errors and the like making it a total of 7 editions. None of the meaning of the text was changed. Therefore, we still call it the 1611.)
Do you know what God says about his words?
Nehe 9:5 (KJV) ...Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
Psalm 138:2 (KJV) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Philippians 2:9 (KJV) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
God magnifies his word higher than his very own name. This is exalted higher than any other name, even the name LORD JESUS CHRIST! This he does above all our worship, praise, even all blessing.
Now, it seems to me, since God does set the standard that we are to follow, then we too should exalt his word higher than anything else we have, even our worship of him. If we do not, we are in sin! I can't even imagine exalting and magnifying man's scholarship higher than God Almighty Himself. It is going to be a sad, sad day for those that do at the judgment seat of Christ on that day!
Psalm 138:2 (KJV) ...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Psalm 138:2 (NIV) ...you have exalted above all things your name and your word.
"Wouldn't you know it though, they corrupted Psalm 138:2 KJV when the conjunction "and" is not found in any Hebrew manuscript -- that's right, they just put it in, they lied, that's is their profession, professional liars; all for the love of money which is the root of all evil, (1 Timothy 6:10, yep, they corrupted that one too!) because they are their own final authority."
What saith the scripture about liars and the love of money?
(See Mark 1:2-3 in the KJV and NIV for another lie.)
1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:10 (NIV) For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
2 Peter 2:3 (KJV) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
2 Peter 2:3 (NKJV) By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
Romans 1:25 (KJV) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
John 8:31 (KJV) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Now, let's see what the Lord said about his words:
Psalm 12:6-7 (KJV) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
The King James Bible has been "purified seven times." Preserved for how long?
Psalm 12:7 (KJV) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Forever is forever.
Psalm 119:160 (KJV) Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
His word is true and it always will be.
Proverb 30:5 (KJV) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
It is pure and a shield for those that trust it is. However, if words and phrases are missing your shield will have holes in it whereby the fiery darts of that wicked one can get through.
Isai 59:21 (KJV) As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
The Old Testament is forever.
Matthew 5:18 (KJV) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
If even as much as a letter is in error, missing or whatever in the law, then the book has corruption in it, therefore has passed from the law, it cannot be the true and perfect words of God.
Matthew 23:35 (KJV) That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
That covers the Old Testament. If anything is missing or corrupt in the OT, then it cannot be the word of God. Those are the Lord's words, not mine sister - get mad at him - not me.
Matthew 24:35 (KJV) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
If any word is missing or corrupt, the Bible it cannot be the word of God.
John 6:63 (KJV) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Again, same thing. Even more so, if they are not the words of God, because God did not preserve the new versions which are nothing more than a commentary written by man then there is no life in them and the book most definitely not the word of God.
John 17:17 (KJV) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
The new versions once again cannot possibly sanctify us like the words of God can. do you want to be washed in a fowl muddy river, or by the true and perfect words of God?
John 10:35 (KJV) If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
If any part of the book is missing, any error in it, it cannot be the true and perfect words of God. This includes any manuscript, all Bibles and counterfeits containing error and therefore the scripture has been broken and the book that has that corruption in it cannot be the word of God. This verse points out also that God's word has to be found in a single Book. Surely the new versions contain a lot of God's words, but they are not the word of God which is the issue. Surely one can get saved from the new versions, but that is not the issue. When words are changed to something else other than what God directed them to be changed to, they are no longer the words of God.
This causes for some understanding if the words have similar meaning, but they no longer are alive, they no longer have God's power in them, many cross references get messed up so we cannot compare scripture with scripture as we are commanded to do to get the meaning and understanding that God wanted us to have.
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
If any part of the book has corruption in it, any error, it cannot be the true and perfect words of God.
Acts 27:25 (KJV) Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
Did God intend us to be free?
John 8:32, 36 (KJV) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
How can you be "free indeed," if you do not have all of Jesus' words like you do in the KJV and the ones that you do have are corrupt like in the NKJV, NIV, 21st Century King James Version (KJ21), NASV, etc?
Furthermore, if you cannot trust God to keep a simple promise like preserve his words, how then, can you trust him with your soul? Really, we are not talking about Kenneth Taylor's (Living Bible) who he has "sitting on a toilet." Nay, we are talking about the God that spoke the universe into existence! Have you ever really though that out?
We do not do as the them that place man as their final authority. They place scholarship and themselves as the final authority rejecting the Holy scripture, the KJV. They make the decisions on what should be or what should not be in the scripture, KJV, even grossly violating strict rules of interpretation. They add words that are no where to be found in any manuscript available, including the KJV. They take away words that are in all manuscripts availible including the KJV. They violate rules of Hebrew Greek grammar principles to make it say what they want. They make crucial changes to the promises of preservation in the KJV and manuscripts, even improperly interpretating Holy scripture (See Psalm 12:6-7 KJV). But worst of all, as if that isn't bad enough, they even attack the deity of our blessed Lord Jesus Christ to the sum of over 200 times who is to have preeminence over all things:
COLOSSIANS 1:18 (KJV) And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
It's a sad, sad day, when the Lord cannot even have preeminence over his own Book!
3 John 1:9 (KJV) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
Romans 1:25 (KJV) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
AND THE WARNING:
Proverb 30:5-6 (KJV) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Revelation 22:18 (KJV) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 (KJV) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
