Our Statement of Faith

I, Jody Adair (male/man), believe the following statements of my faith. I use "we" in it instead of "I" or "me," because it is also the same beliefs of my whole household, in which I am the head of.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the son of God, is God, was born of a virgin, was crucified after severe punishment for our sin and not just ours, but for the whole world. We believe that he died and raised Himself from the dead three days later, that He ascended into heaven.

We believe that Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh while here on earth: 100% man and 100% God, and is coming back soon and will raise from the dead those that accepted Him as their personal Savoir before they died and that he will meet them and those living that believe in Him in the air (called the Rapture), and that they will reign with him for eternity!

We believe that the only way to eternal salvation is through *personal belief* that the blood of Jesus is all-sufficient for the penalty of sin and an acceptance of Him into our life as Lord and Saviour and also that, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) We believe that those "that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18) After stating and believing that, we conclude there is only one sin that will keep a person from going to heaven, and that is, unbelief in the Lord Jesus Christ and that same denial has already condemned them that do not believe in Him to the literal hell for literal eternal punishment.

We believe in salvation by grace through faith alone and absolutely no works (Eph. 2:8-9) and that salvation is immediate and everlasting (cannot be lost or taken away http://www.purewords.org/sojourner/html/security.htm) upon acceptance of Jesus as a one-time sacrifice for our sins, and not obtained through any sacraments, traditions or merits of our own. We also believe that our salvation is a free gift, and that it is not ours to loose, that once saved we are sealed by the blood forevermore; that is, we can never become unsaved/loose our salvation nor will God Almighty Himself, even the Lord Jesus Christ, take away our eternal life and reign with Him!

We believe there will be a seven years great tribulation period after we are caught up to meet Him in the air, and after that the Millennium in which the Lord Jesus Christ Himself will rule on earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years.

After that we believe there will be the great white throne judgement and all those that did not receive Him as their personal Saviour will be found guilty by God and that great deceiver, Satan himself (the accuser, Rev. 12:10) and they and him will be cast into a literal lake of fire in hell for eternity - without excuse (Romans 1:19-20).

We also believe that water baptism comes after salvation as a sign of professional and symbol of washing the old man and becoming a new man in Jesus Christ. We also believe that the Lord's Supper is done by commandment and in no way is somehow turned into the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ, as Jesus stating, we do it in memory of Him. We call the two ordinances and in no way have anything to do with salvation.

Finally, we are independent fundamental Baptists and attend church, prayer meeting, Bible study, etc. at an independent fundamental Bible believing Baptist church.
